He currently plays the PGA Tour and has enjoyed 21 professional wins over the years - 13 on the PGA Tour, one on the Nationwide Tour and one other win.

In 2006, Jim Furyk reached second place on the official World Golf Rankings, received the Vardon Trophy and was also placed second on the money list.

He has an unorthodox swing, with Golf Digest magazine describing his hips as “under-turning” during his backswing and “over-turning” when playing through the shot. The best result of Jim Furyk's career to date was winning the US Open in 2003.

He's had several top-ten finishes in the PGA Championship in recent years - in 1997 he placed 6th, in 1999 he placed 8th, in 2001 he reached 7th and in 2002 he came 9th.
